IREPA LASER is recruiting a Laser Systems, Robotics & Industrial Automation 4.0 Technician.

We support industry on demanding innovation projects combining high-power laser systems, intelligent automation, advanced robotics, machine vision, in-situ monitoring and industrial digital technologies.
As part of strengthening our technical capabilities and operating complex industrial equipment, we are recruiting a Laser Systems, Robotics & Industrial Automation Technician to work at the heart of our technology platforms.

Your role

As part of the technical and project teams, you will be responsible for implementing, operating and ensuring the reliability of automated laser systems.
You will work mainly hands-on, supporting engineers and project managers, to ensure the availability, performance and safety of the technical equipment used in R&D and industrial demonstration.
You will play a key role at the heart of the laser systems, working directly on:

  • High-power lasers,
  • 6-axis robots and cobots,
  • Industrial automation and control systems,
  • Smart sensors and 2D/3D vision,
  • Industrial data and connected systems (IIoT).

Your role: help integrate, programme, set up and maintain technological solutions while contributing operationally to R&D projects and industrial pilots.

Your main responsibilities

  • Take part in the assembly, wiring and technical integration of solutions combining lasers, automation, robotics and machine vision.
  • Programme, test and optimise industrial controllers (PLCs), robotic systems and HMIs.
  • Diagnose faults (electrical, electronic, mechatronic, software) and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
  • Help install sensors and configure data acquisition (monitoring) tools on laser processes.
  • Carry out test campaigns, take part in feasibility studies and build mock-ups for R&D projects.
  • Provide on-site technical follow-up with suppliers, service providers and integrators.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and operational quality on a daily basis.

Your profile

  • Two- or three-year higher education qualification (Bac+2 / Bac+3)
    BTS, BUT or Licence professionnelle (French vocational higher-education diplomas) in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, industrial maintenance or equivalent.
  • Proven experience (5 years or more) in an automated industrial environment, special-purpose machinery or complex processes.
  • Very good skills in:
    o Electrical engineering and industrial automation,
    o Mechanical and motorised systems,
    o Reading and analysing electrical diagrams.
  • Experience appreciated with:
    o Industrial robots (ABB, …)
    o Industrial PLCs (Siemens, …)
    o Laser environments or environments with stringent safety requirements.
  • Autonomy, rigour, strong troubleshooting skills and initiative.
  • A real taste for hands-on technical work and continuous improvement.

Salary

€32–40k gross per year, depending on experience and level of autonomy
(Progression possible depending on responsibilities and skills development)
