Laser safety: bring your installations into compliance and protect your teams
Compliance audits, regulatory advice, qualifying training: IREPA LASER helps you control the risks associated with laser use and meet your regulatory obligations.
Laser risks: an obligation to control them in every environment
Lasers are classified according to their emission level into classes 1 to 4. Class 3B and 4 lasers, used in many contexts (industry, welding, cutting, marking, additive manufacturing, entertainment, scientific research), expose operators to serious eye and skin hazards that can be permanent in the event of direct or reflected exposure.
These risks are governed by precise regulatory obligations. In France and Europe, the use of class 3B and 4 lasers requires in particular the appointment of a competent person in laser safety (PCSL), training of exposed operators and compliance of installations with current standards.
Without rigorous control, the consequences can be severe:
- Injuries to exposed operators
- Regulatory non-compliance that may lead to penalties
- Production or operating shutdowns imposed by inspection authorities
- Legal liability of the employer
IREPA LASER helps you identify your risks precisely, bring your installations into compliance and build a lasting safety approach.
