Producing structural joints on components made of precious metals, free from porosity defects and with a high level of aesthetic quality, in line with the requirements of watchmaking and jewellery.

Optimisation of the laser welding process carried out at IREPA LASER, at the customer’s premises or at the integrator’s site. Process development is tailored to the specific constraints of precious metals and the aesthetic requirements of the sector.

The challenge is to develop a welding process that guarantees both the mechanical quality of the joints and an impeccable aesthetic standard, in a context where any visual or structural imperfection is critical.

The project made it possible to clearly define the machine specifications and optimise the production line. The process is qualified, robust and compatible with very high productivity and finish requirements.
