Looking back at Formnext 2022

Formnext, the world’s largest trade fair for additive manufacturing, was held from 15 to 18 November 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The Institut Carnot MICA took part and represented its member organisations, including IREPA LASER, which specialise in various fields such as:

• Metal additive manufacturing of large parts (IREPA LASER)
• Composite additive manufacturing of large parts (AFP process – Institut Régional des Matériaux Avancés (IRMA)
• 4D additive manufacturing (Institut de Science des Matériaux de Mulhouse)
• Metal and ceramic additive manufacturing of precision parts (PIM process – CRITT Matériaux Innovation)
• And much more…

IREPA LASER exhibited two demonstrators:

• Hollow Shaft
• Structural container

The process used for these two demonstrators? DED-CLAD technology.
