About the speaker
Pierre-Alain Vetter is Technical Manager at IREPA LASER. Holding a PhD in Physics from Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, he has been an expert in laser joining of polymer materials for over 20 years. In this capacity, he has managed numerous national and international projects and initiated the development of several innovative industrial processes. His engineering expertise is widely recognised. In this webinar, he will show you the importance of properly defining the optical characteristics of the laser beam for joining polymers. This factor, which is not always taken into account, is decisive for obtaining high-quality welds. Through several industrial examples, he will show you how welding problems have been solved thanks to fine shaping of the laser beam.
