“Information on laser risks” booklet – 2021 edition
IREPA LASER is delighted to present its new booklet on laser safety.
The aim of this booklet is to raise awareness among people who, as part of their job, regularly or occasionally work near a laser source of high power (Classes > 2) or a safeguarded system (Class 1) incorporating a laser source of a class higher than 2. The new regulations in force, in particular decree 2010-750 of 2 July 2010 (transposition of directive 2006/25/EC), have somewhat clarified the rules for using laser systems in the industrial, medical and scientific fields as well as in everyday life.
The content of this booklet is intended to provide information on the risks associated with the use of lasers. It should enable exposed personnel to identify the risks to which they may be exposed and implement the protective measures necessary for their own safety and that of those around them.
The aim is to provide concrete answers to attitudes, habits or negligence that can cause accidents of varying severity. This guide was produced by specialists in laser applications and laser safety. They regularly take part in awareness-raising, information and training initiatives on this subject.
