IREPA LASER is launching its Bachelor’s degree in “Additive and Innovative Manufacturing Processes”, a one-year course entirely dedicated to the innovative technology of additive manufacturing.
Programme
Aimed at students with a two-year post-secondary technological qualification or a professional bachelor’s degree, the course develops learners’ skills in the following areas:
- Developing a manufacturing process on the equipment and monitoring part production
- Programming innovative manufacturing equipment: adaptability, industrialisation, correction (non-conformity)
- Quality control of manufactured products
- Carrying out level 2 maintenance of equipment
- Technical liaison with support departments (design office and methods) and management to ensure the industrialisation of the product
Dual certification
Learners are enrolled simultaneously in the Bachelor’s programme and in preparation for the Certificat de Qualification Paritaire de la Métallurgie “Technicien(ne) de Cellule Autonome de Production”, awarded by the metalworking industry body (UIMM). The CQPM certifies professional abilities and provides national professional and social recognition from companies in the metalworking sector.
Career opportunities
Under a professionalisation contract (work-study), holders of the Bachelor’s degree in “Additive and Innovative Manufacturing Processes” can work in companies carrying out precision work on high-value materials and parts, in development centres or in mechanical industries such as automotive and aerospace subcontracting or industrial equipment manufacturing. Having mastered the tool, they can independently run a laser production cell.
