IREPA LASER at PLI Conférences 2026: setting course for laser innovation
On 1 and 2 July 2026, IREPA LASER will be in Limoges for PLI Conférences, the must-attend event dedicated to industrial laser processes. Organised by the Club Laser et Procédés in partnership with ALPhANOV, these conferences bring together researchers, engineers and industry players around the latest technological advances and practical applications of lasers in industry.
IREPA LASER will showcase its industrial solutions through three major presentations:
- Numerical simulation of the melt pool in laser welding – Discover how multiphysics modelling makes it possible to predict and control defect formation in aluminium, and to optimise laser beam shaping to improve weld quality.
- Boosting productivity through multi-beam strategies – The use of spatial light modulators (SLM) and robotic systems speeds up laser drilling and ablation while controlling thermal impact and preserving process quality.
- Laser DED additive manufacturing with powder and wire: prevention, repair and remanufacturing – In connection with the European RESTORE project, DED processes extend the service life of components and shape new industrial remanufacturing strategies, while reducing waste and safeguarding critical parts. Practical feedback from real-world cases will illustrate how these technologies fit into a production chain to deliver performance, durability and cost control.

On the PLI Conférences 2026 programme: high-level talks, an exhibition of laser innovations, networking and company visits.
