Successful training for 8 new laser specialists
Congratulations to: Nicolas Dierstein, Guérin Hein, Jean Baptiste Kiehl, Nicolas Obernesser, Jean Stuck, Antoine Ueberschlag, Raphael Vilbois and Daniel Vaxelaire.
The traditional final presentations of the future RETALI project engineers took place on Tuesday 3 May for the 2014 – 2016 cohort at IREPA LASER’s premises. After 19 months at our CRT, these 8 budding laser technicians have successfully completed their training and will be awarded the diploma issued jointly with the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Strasbourg (INSA).
RETALI (Responsable technique d’applications laser industrielles), a vocational, RNCP-accredited level II diploma, is recognised nationally and internationally and opens up career opportunities in fields such as research and development, aeronautics, automotive, luxury goods, medical, etc. More than 150 young people who have completed this training now hold management positions, after an average job search of barely 3 months.
IREPA LASER thus trains genuine specialists in industrial laser techniques. Under professional training contracts, the students received both practical and theoretical instruction, enabling them in particular to acquire the following skills: managing a fleet of laser machines in production, proposing cutting-edge technological solutions, leading development or investment projects, and mobilising and coordinating a team’s work. In addition, they had the opportunity to take part in developing the most innovative laser techniques: 3D printing, laser surface texturing, welding under extreme conditions, anti-counterfeiting marking, etc.

To apply for the 2016-2018 cohort: CV + covering letter + academic reports from your last two years of study, to be sent to IREPA LASER before 1 July 2016.
